Product Designer

Fitbit is seeking a Product Designer to join the Devices UX team in Bucharest.

As part of this team you will create cross platform experiences that motivate, inspire and engage our users. This position works closely with our product managers, researchers and engineers to solve complex problems and create engaging and original designs. Qualified candidates should be empathetic, user-centric, innovative and have experience designing digital products from concept to launch.

What You’ll Work On:

As part of our Devices UX design team, you will be expected to tackle complex problems with brilliant solutions. You will design cross-platform experiences across mobile and our wearable devices. This position requires a proven track record of digital product design, a strong knowledge of user-centered innovation and hands-on experience crafting products from inception to launch. Qualified candidates will be required to balance user, product and business goals to deliver an amazing user experience.

We’d like you to be someone who has:

  • Three or more years experience designing for digital products in the consumer technology industry
  • Experience in product thinking and ability to contribute to product decisions
  • Experience in user-centered design methods, exploration, storytelling and detailed interaction design
  • Exceptional abilities in visual design
  • Advanced knowledge of information design principles
  • Advanced knowledge of interaction design patterns across multiple platforms
  • The ability to prototype and test design solutions with ease
  • An empathetic and inquisitive nature
  • A burning desire to solve problems ranging from the big picture to the fine details
  • A positive attitude, open mind, and a desire to collaborate and learn
  • Passion for Fitbit’s mission

Extra skills we’d appreciate a lot:

  • Experience designing interfaces for hardware devices
  • Motion design and illustration skills

Candidates must share a portfolio to be considered for this role. Your work should demonstrate a thorough interaction design process, user-centered thinking, storytelling and your ability to solve complex design problems.
